Education, housing, and therapy

Fundació Privada Guru is a nonprofit organization offering comprehensive services for autistic people and their families. Its work includes education, residential support, and therapy delivered through a multidisciplinary, person-centered approach.

Services

• Special education school: educational support for autistic people.
• Residential services: housing for autistic children and adults, with or without additional conditions.
• Occupational therapy: therapeutic support to develop everyday skills.

Residential programs

The foundation's residential services include Residència Guru Valldoreix and Llar Residència Guru Gràcia. These centers operate under agreements with and receive funding from Catalonia's Department of Labor, Social Affairs and Families. Since 1987, they have provided residential support to children and adults with autism.

The multidisciplinary team includes a neurologist, psychologist, physical therapist, nurse, social worker, and social educators. Educational and therapeutic support is integrated into daily life at the centers, with daytime services also available at the residence.
