Iberoamericana de Hilados y Tejidos (Iberosa) is a textile company based in Sant Andreu de la Barca, Barcelona. It specializes in raw and finished fabrics, as well as making and distributing textiles for hospitality and healthcare. It was founded nearly 30 years ago by business owners with more than 40 years of industry experience.

• Healthcare textiles: bedding and mattress protection for hospitals and nursing homes, sold under the Textiles Rumbo brand.
• Fabric sales: raw and finished fabrics in qualities such as percale, poplin, satin, and twill.
• Customization: made-to-order sewing and embroidered or printed logos and text.

Textiles Rumbo

In 2017, Iberosa acquired Textiles Rumbo, the successor to Manufacturas Textiles Rumbo, founded in 1950. The acquisition strengthened Iberosa’s healthcare-textile line because Textiles Rumbo specializes in making and distributing bedding and mattress protection for hospitals and nursing homes.

Certification

Products sold under the Textiles Rumbo brand carry STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification, Product Class 1. The certification indicates that products have been tested for harmful substances; Class 1 applies to textiles intended for direct contact with the skin of babies under three years old.

Facilities and Markets

Iberosa has facilities covering more than 6,000 square meters, allowing it to keep a broad product inventory. Its products meet European quality standards, and its customers include businesses in the European Union, the Americas, and Central Asia.
