About the foundation

Fundació Formació i Treball is a nonprofit founded by Caritas Diocesana de Barcelona in 1992. It focuses on job training and employment programs for people facing social exclusion, as well as social-assistance programs for families with limited financial resources.

Work and approach

The foundation organizes its work around two priorities: training and employment. It partners with more than 1,500 businesses in fields such as fashion, finance, hospitality, and food service to create job opportunities for people at risk of exclusion. Its initiatives include NO T'ATURIS!, which supports young people transitioning out of care in Sant Adrià de Besòs and Tarragona, and the recovery of surplus food through Foodback at Mercabarna.

Partnerships with businesses

Businesses can work with the foundation by hiring people or services, funding projects, supporting training scholarships, or engaging employees. The organization also offers a job board and work-based learning programs.
