Citel SL is a Spanish textile manufacturer of technical fabrics for outdoor use. Its catalog has four main lines: sun protection for awnings, umbrellas, and pergolas; upholstery; outdoor curtains; and industrial PVC fabrics. The company operates from two locations in Catalonia and sells products under brands including Docril, Sunless, and Citel PVC.

Products and brands

• Docril: solution-dyed, 100% acrylic fabric that blocks up to 90% of UV rays and offers high water repellency and resistance to fungi and mold. Used for awnings, umbrellas, and pergolas.
• Docril 153: the Docril fabric line in a 153-cm width, designed for umbrellas and large fixed awnings.
• Docril N: waterproof fabric with a water column exceeding 100 cm and an anti-mold treatment, suited to marine awnings, boat biminis, and pergolas in humid climates.
• Docril T: designed to reduce heat; the company says it can lower temperatures by 4°C and reduce air-conditioning energy use by 8%.
• Sunless N5+: high-tenacity, low-shrinkage polyester yarn coated with PVC, with M-2 and Class 1 fire ratings, suitable for installations without side supports.
• Citel PVC: durable, waterproof, flexible industrial fabrics with rot-resistant finishes and UV protection, made in the European Union.
• Bliss Citel: solution-dyed acrylic upholstery for indoor and outdoor decor, in plain canvas, Panama, and striped designs.
• Albis: a collection of lightweight outdoor curtains and sheers in transparent mesh, made of 100% acrylic and 300 cm wide.

Applications

Citel fabrics are used for awnings, umbrellas, pergolas, marine applications such as boat awnings and biminis, textile architecture, upholstery, and outdoor curtains for bungalows, garden gazebos, Bali beds, and pergolas.
