About Grup Escolta Xaloc de Sabadell

Scouting in Sabadell

Grup Escolta Xaloc is a scouting group based in Sabadell. Founded in 1972, it describes itself as the city’s only scout group and organizes educational activities during children’s and teens’ free time through its own program.

Age groups and activities

The group organizes participants into age-based sections, each with its own contact email:

  • Castors i Llúdrigues
  • Llops i Daines
  • Ràngers i Guies
  • Pioners i Caravel·les
  • Róvers 2006

The schedule follows the school year, with activities resuming in October and planned quarterly. The program includes outings and summer camps.

Meeting locations

The group does not have its own building. It uses space provided by Parròquia de la Santíssima Trinitat at Carrer Zurbano 2, 08201 Sabadell, and the schoolyard at Miquel Martí i Pol School, Carrer de Cervantes 87, 08201 Sabadell. Saturday gatherings take place from 4 to 5 p.m. in the schoolyard and at 8 p.m. at the parish, when activities are scheduled and the group is not away on an outing. The borrowed space is not equipped for overnight stays, so lodging is not available.

Contact

The group’s general email is gexaloc@escoltesiguies.cat. Each section also has a dedicated address: cill.gexaloc@escoltesiguies.cat (Castors i Llúdrigues), llid.gexaloc@escoltesiguies.cat (Llops i Daines), ring.gexaloc@escoltesiguies.cat (Ràngers i Guies), pic.gexaloc@escoltesiguies.cat (Pioners i Caravel·les), and truc2.gexaloc@escoltesiguies.cat (Róvers 2006).
