Neurorehabilitation and family support

AVAN is a private foundation with more than 30 years of experience improving quality of life for people with neurological conditions and for their families and caregivers. It focuses on neurorehabilitation and comprehensive support, with locations in several communities in Barcelona province.

Services

• Neurorehabilitation: individual and group therapy adapted to each person's condition and needs, including neuropsychology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, and psychology.
• Therapy groups: groups for people with brain injuries, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and cognitive-stimulation needs.
• Day centers: a Specialized Care Center (CAE), a day center for older adults with cognitive decline, and a neurorehabilitation day center in Terrassa. Day services run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for people who cannot stay at home during the day.
• Petit AVAN: services for children and young people with neurological conditions or neurodevelopmental disorders, including neuropsychology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, and child and adolescent psychology.
• Inclusive recreation: social, cultural, and sports activities on weekdays and weekends, including CUIDEM therapeutic vacations and ANEM en parella.
• Guidance and family support: emotional-support groups, family training, a social worker, and transportation.

Ways to support AVAN

Ways to participate include becoming a member, donating, volunteering, joining as a friend business, purchasing charitable gifts, making a legacy gift, and micro-donations. Fundraising events include the Sopar Solidari on October 2 in Matadepera and La Nit de l'Esperança on October 29 in Barcelona.
