ESDI Escola Superior de Disseny

Design education in Barcelona and Sabadell

ESDI Escola Superior de Disseny is a university-level design school affiliated with Ramon Llull University. Founded in 1989 as an initiative of Fundació del Disseny Tèxtil (FUNDIT), it offers higher education in design at two locations, Sabadell and Barcelona.

Academic programs

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design, with concentrations in graphic design, interior design, product design, fashion, and audiovisual design.
• Master’s and graduate programs in curating, styling, fashion management, UX, art direction, AI, project management, and retail.
• Vocational programs in image consulting, patternmaking and fashion, custom clothing, 3D animation, and styling.
• Courses in summer studies, sewing, denim, illustration, color, CLO 3D, Fermat, and crafts.

ESDI students have received awards in competitions including the ADCE Student Awards, Apolda European Design Awards, James Dyson Award, Global Footwear Awards, ADG Laus, Delta ADI-FAD, Habitàcola ARQUIN-FAD, David Delfin, Selected Bilbao Bizkaia, Gaudeamus Projecta, Code 41 Talent, Villanueva Showing Festival, and ESDI X AXOR.

Industry connections

The school partners with companies, develops joint projects, offers customized in-company training, and provides business services. It also has an alumni platform and internship opportunities.
