Company history

Andersen began in 1974 as a distributor of Dumex Pharma and raw materials. In 1980, it began working with Toyo Jozo Co. Ltd. of Japan, and by the end of that decade had added its first nutritional products. In 1988, it formed a joint venture with Asahi Vet and Asahi Chemicals and produced Toyocerin at its Rubí plant. Veterinary and nutritional products such as Nipoxyme followed in 1990. In 2005, the company became wholly owned by Asahi Vet and adopted the name Rubinum. It began worldwide production and marketing of Toyocerin in 2008 and Ketoxyme in 2009. It launched the Floxyme medication in 2013 and the Laxosow and Forza+ nutritional products in 2016. Group Andersen was formed in 2019 through joint ventures Dopharma Iberia and Bothem Pharma.
