Observatori de l'Ebre is a scientific center in Roquetes focused on research and observation in space weather and geomagnetism. Its work is organized around research, observation, and a library.

Open data and services

The observatory maintains an open-data portal featuring products derived from its own measurements, including:

• A geomagnetic activity K-index, calculated automatically from its data and not subject to review.
• Solar photosphere images captured with its telescope.
• Information about compass variation in Roquetes, showing how magnetic north has changed over time in the area.
• Real-time weather data from an automatic AEMET station installed at the observatory, including temperature, relative humidity, atmospheric pressure, accumulated precipitation, and wind speed and direction. These data are preliminary and subject to review.

Observation and public outreach

The observatory provides information about its work and makes daily data and weather forecasts available to the public. Its website also includes legal information and a reporting channel.
