Associació Taller Baix Camp

Support for adults with intellectual disabilities

Associació Taller Baix Camp is a public-benefit nonprofit based in Reus, Tarragona. It supports adults with intellectual disabilities and their families, primarily in the Baix Camp region, from the end of school through older adulthood. The organization says it has been operating for more than 40 years.

Employment, personal support, and training

• Employment services: Its special employment center serves businesses, public agencies, and individuals. Services include gardening, packing and industrial product handling, brush clearing and forestry work, road signage, laundry, food services, and environmental management. It also makes handmade candles and soaps.
• Support for individuals: An occupational center, four residential homes, support for independent living at home, and a meeting place.
• Training and employment inclusion: Vocational guidance and training, along with job-placement programs.

Recognition and organizational information

The association is a provider in Catalonia's social services system and holds ISO 9001 certification. According to its 2024 figures, 61.10% of its employees have disabilities and 38.90% do not; 40.60% are women and 59.40% are men. Tax ID: G-43036185.

Projects and community activities

Its projects include a community walk, virtual reality initiatives, participation in the Casa Navàs project, and the Erasmus+ program. The association also runs a shop and publishes news about recent activities, including a full climate-control system installed at its special employment center with support from Fundación "la Caixa" and its participation in Reus Espais Vius, which included opening a location on Carrer de Santa Teresa.
