About A.E.G. Ben Enllà

Outdoor education in Reus

A.E.G. Ben Enllà is a scout and guide group that offers outdoor educational activities for children and young people. Its age-based sections are Castors, Llops i Daines, Ràngers i Noies Guia, and Pioners i Caravel·les. The group uses the motto “i tu, mires o veus?” (“And you, do you look or do you see?”).

Activities and outings

The group holds activities throughout the year, including Festa del Pas, which marks the start of the scouting year; its annual walk to Montserrat, held for the 39th time in 2016; and a group calçotada. Parents and volunteer leaders take part in these gatherings, which have been held at places such as the Puigmarí campground in Duesaigües, La Llacuna, Hostalets de Pierola, and Collbató.

Taking part in a charity event

In December 2016, the group joined the fourth Encesa Solidària in support of Fundació PROIDE, held in the gardens of La Salle Reus. Members carried the Peace Light and lit small candles. Funds raised went to school meal programs for students in northern Togo's Savanes region.

Connections and resources

The group is affiliated with Minyons Escoltes i Guies de Catalunya's Tarragona district and has connections with Joves La Salle and CEER. Its blog links to the 10 Scout Laws, the 5 Dynamisms, and the 3 Options.
