Andrés Pintaluba S.A. (APSA) was founded in 1978 in Reus, Tarragona, Spain, by Andreu Pintaluba Esporrín. The company specializes in animal nutrition and health and is the parent of Grupo Pintaluba, with operations in Spain and internationally. It remains family-owned more than 45 years after its founding.

Products and solutions

APSA offers a broad range of additives and medicated premixes for animal nutrition and health, organized into five lines:

• APSA IN-FARM PRODUCTS: Products for on-farm use.
• APSA IN-FEED PRODUCTS: Products for animal feed.
• APSA FEED SPECIALITIES: Solutions that add value to animal feed.
• APSA BIOSECURITY: Farm biosecurity products.
• APSA FEED INGREDIENTS: High-quality ingredients.

Integrated services

Along with its product portfolio, the company has its own logistics operation (APSA Logistics), a quality-control laboratory (APSALAB), and a research and development center (APSA R&D). It also provides pharmacovigilance services and industrial production capabilities.

Research and projects

APSA takes part in research and development projects, including SAN-PROT, a study on recovering protein from olive pomace with support from the 2023 DARPA Operational Groups program, and the Biopéptidos project with Matadero Frigorífico del Cardoner to make use of meat-industry byproducts.
