About Multiacuatic
Whale and dolphin watching off Gran Canaria
Multiacuatic is a Gran Canaria company devoted to cetacean watching. It operates a 16-meter catamaran named Multiacuatic, with a 6-meter beam and two decks. A boarding ramp allows access for strollers. The vessel carries the safety equipment required by applicable law.
The company holds the Blue Flag distinction, an administrative authorization recognizing compliance with a responsible cetacean-watching protocol and marine protection measures. Its trips focus on dolphins and whales and include educational information on board.
Excursions and services
Multiacuatic offers three excursions departing from the Puerto Rico pier on Gran Canaria’s southwest coast:
- Dolphin Safari: a two-hour trip searching for dolphins and whales with professional guides. Runs Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, departing at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
- Dolphin & Swim: a three-hour outing combining wildlife watching with a stop in a bay for swimming and snorkeling. Runs Tuesday and Thursday, departing at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- Discover Mogan: a five-hour excursion that includes cetacean watching and a visit to Puerto de Mogán, known as “the little Venice of the Canary Islands.” Passengers can go ashore to walk around the harbor, visit its market, or spend time at the beaches. Runs Friday, departing at 10 a.m.
During the trip, a guide specializing in cetaceans explains the species found in the Canary Islands and marine life in general. When an animal is spotted, the guide shares details about that species. Crew members are also trained to answer passenger questions. Sea turtles and flying fish may also be seen.
The company offers a guarantee: if no dolphins or whales are spotted, passengers are invited to take another trip at no charge.

Of the 85 cetacean species described worldwide, 27 have been spotted in the Canary Islands, according to information the company shares on board. Multiacuatic S.L. is listed in the General Tourism Register under GC/2010/000086.
