About Primavera Fanzine

An illustrated alternative publication

Primavera Fanzine is an illustrated alternative publication that explores cultural topics from a dissident perspective. It is published in Spain and sold in print through its online store. The project began in February 2020 with a 36-page first issue and has published regularly since, reaching issue 16.

Content and editorial approach

Each issue combines opinion pieces, interviews, and recurring sections. Topics include Spanish history, with particular attention to the Spanish Empire, the Golden Age, and the Reconquista; art and aesthetics; education; geopolitics; and cultural criticism. The publication describes itself as “incorrect and alternative” and takes an explicitly dissident editorial line.

The magazine interviews illustrators, historians, designers, and other creators. People interviewed include El Fisgón Histórico, Ferre Clauzel, Baldruk, Auctor Salutis, Jose María Nieto, historian Daniel Gómez, the Iberian Wolves group, and Fides publishing house. It has also released special issues tied to dates such as Noviembre Nacional and Hispanic Heritage Month.
