About Almendras Francisco Morales S.A.
Almond production since 1910
Almendras Francisco Morales S.A. has produced and exported almonds since 1910. Its sales network serves Spanish and international markets, and about 20% of its production is organic.
Varieties and products
The company sells more than 20 almond varieties, including:
- Conventional: Guara, Soleta, Marcona, Largueta, Lauranne, and Comuna/Valencia.
- Organic: Guara, Marcona, and Comuna/Valencia.
Almonds are sold raw or roasted, whole, sliced, or ground, for direct consumption and for use in nougat, snacks, sweets, and other recipes.
Processing facilities
The company received support from the Andalusian regional government, through its agriculture and rural development department, with co-funding from Spain’s agriculture ministry and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. The funding helped expand its almond-processing center so it could diversify into almond paste, chopped almonds, and fine granules, with refrigerated storage for the finished products.
Almond Museum
The business has a Museo de la Almendra, or Almond Museum, in Zamoranos, part of Priego de Córdoba.
