Renewable energy project development

Progressum develops renewable energy projects worldwide. Founded in London in 2012, it now has offices in Madrid and Rome. It is part of the Progressum Group, which includes four companies: BWB (Best Wonder Business), the investment parent company; Progressum Energy Developments, which develops projects; PAM (Progressum Assets Management), which provides advisory services; and Bester, which builds, operates, and maintains facilities.

The company covers the full project development process, from identifying an opportunity to building the facility. Its technology areas include:

Portfolio and markets

Progressum says it is working on a portfolio of more than 100 projects at different stages of development, with a total capacity of 5.6 GW. Its main markets are Spain and Italy, and it has developed projects in more than seven countries. The company describes its role as developing and investing in wind and solar projects in strategic markets.

Project process

The company describes its services as “tailor-made” to each client's needs. The process has several stages: the business development team identifies opportunities, with dedicated staff handling land; the project development department, made up of technicians and engineers specializing in different technologies, grid connections, and networks, manages project approvals; the environmental team works on permitting; and legal, finance, and communications teams provide ongoing support. Once development is complete, construction is handled by Bester.
