About Valove
A Shared Quality Label From the Guadalquivir Valley
Valove identifies extra-virgin olive oils produced by mills and bottlers associated with the organization promoting olive oil from the Guadalquivir Valley. The association was founded in Bujalance, Córdoba, to bring the regional sector together, improve production quality, and market selected oils collectively.
Sixteen Mills Across Córdoba
The label brings together 16 mills in Córdoba province, including producers in Bujalance, Montoro, Posadas, Palma del Río, Córdoba, and other towns across the valley. Its olive-growing area also extends into neighboring parts of Seville province, including Écija, Lora del Río, and Peñaflor. The association reports more than 65,000 hectares of dry-farmed and irrigated olive groves, with Picual, Arbequina, Lechín, and Hojiblanca among the principal varieties.
Selection and Recognition
Valove says that only extra-virgin olive oils passing its internal rules and external checks can carry the label. The association also promotes circular-economy practices and the sustainability of rural communities.
Events and Where to Find the Oils
The association organizes the annual Valove Awards and takes part in food and olive-industry trade shows. Valove oils are sold through regular retailers; the association has described an online store as forthcoming.
