Castell Perelada

A historic castle for private events

Castell Perelada is an event venue in the heart of the Empordà, in Peralada, Girona. It hosts weddings as well as corporate and private events. The castle brings together gardens, historic rooms, and food by chef Paco Pérez, whose restaurants hold a total of five Michelin stars. The entire property is not available for private rental because it also houses Restaurant Castell Perelada, Casino Perelada, and Museu Perelada, but several event spaces are available.

Event services and capacity

The venue offers event-planning support, including a dedicated event manager for in-house arrangements; outside services are not managed by the venue. Food is prepared in the castle's kitchens. Wedding menus include appetizers, a starter, a main course, wine served at the table, desserts, a wedding cake, and two hours of open bar. Menus can be adapted for dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, celiac, and allergen-related requirements. The Mirador del Castell accommodates up to 600 guests indoors; outdoor spaces accommodate up to 300. For weddings with more than 100 guests, the couple receives a wedding-night stay at Hotel Peralada, one kilometer away. The hotel has 64 rooms, an outdoor pool, WineSpa, an 18-hole golf course, and dining options by Paco Pérez.

Beyond weddings, the castle hosts family celebrations, birthdays, gala dinners, intimate dinners, marriage proposals, vow renewals, themed parties, corporate meetings, team-building events, incentive trips, product launches, brand presentations, company dinners, and photo shoots. Cultural and artistic events include concerts and book or press presentations. Smaller events such as presentations, meetings, and photo shoots can rent the space without catering. Pre- and post-wedding options include wine tourism visits, wine tastings, brunch, golf tournaments, and wellness treatments at WineSpa.
