About ABDEM - Asociación Balear de Esclerosis Múltiple

Support for people with multiple sclerosis in the Balearic Islands

Asociación Balear de Esclerosis Múltiple (ABDEM) is a nonprofit based at 15 Passeig de Marratxí in Palma, 07008. It supports people with multiple sclerosis and their families across the Balearic Islands through services, awareness campaigns, and activities, and coordinates the involvement of members, volunteers, and donors.

Services and activities

ABDEM organizes its work around its services, awareness campaigns, and an events calendar. Initiatives include Mulla't per l'Esclerosi Múltiple, the Cursa de Colors de Palmanyola, and information tables at hospitals for World MS Day. The association also shares educational information about the disease, including its symptoms, diagnosis, and treatments, and publishes social and financial reports in a transparency section.

Get involved

People can participate by becoming members or volunteers, making donations—including through Bizum at 03132—or leaving a legacy. ABDEM says donations qualify for tax benefits and lists its partner organizations and sponsors. It also shares job opportunities through the employment agency of IMPULSA Igualtat Illes Balears.

Quality and governance

The association has a quality management system certified to ISO 9001:2015. Its governance and participation structure includes a members’ assembly, a public organizational chart, and an Ethics Committee with its own contact channel.
