Director's education

Dr. Lourdes Ibáñez Freixas graduated in medicine in 1987 from the Instituto Superior de Ciencias Médicas de Camagüey in Cuba and completed specialization in comprehensive general medicine there in 1992. Spain recognized her medical degree in 2009. She also holds a 2005 mesotherapy diploma from Université Victor Segalen in Bordeaux and a 2005 aesthetic-medicine and cosmetic-surgery diploma from Universidad Abierta de Argentina in Buenos Aires. She founded and became emeritus president of Sociedad de Mesoterapia del Caribe and founded and presides over the American Institute of Mesotherapy and Aesthetics, both in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
