Fundació Privada Els Pepitus Gay-Robert is a Catalan nonprofit established in 2005 after the death of its founder, Josep Gay i Casinyé. It began operating in early 2008 and works primarily in Catalonia.
Two areas of support
The foundation has two main areas of work:
- Higher education: It promotes courses, seminars, and educational activities, and awards grants or covers some or all of eligible beneficiaries’ higher-education costs in technical, humanities, and cultural fields.
- Support for older adults: It provides financial and social assistance to people over 65 who need help because of poverty.
The foundation may work with other centers and institutions to carry out its mission.
