Keeping the havanera alive
Fundació Ernest Morató is based in Palafrugell, in Girona’s Baix Empordà region. It preserves, studies, and promotes the havanera, a song tradition associated with seafaring. Its work includes a documentation center, an archive, a directory of performers, and public cantades or havanera singing events.
