CEG (Construcciones Eléctricas de Guipúzcoa) is a family-owned company based in Ormaiztegi, Gipuzkoa, Spain. It designs and manufactures elevator motors and machines. The company has operated since the 1960s, with more than 50 years in business. Its current main product is gearless elevator machinery using permanent magnets.

Products

CEG has developed a family of gearless solutions for different types of installations:

• MAXI ACT: for installations with heavy traffic or high loads.
• ACT: a versatile machine for different installations, with or without a machine room (MRL).
• MINI ACT: for limited spaces and single-family homes (HomeLift).
• MICRO ACT: for installations where space is especially limited.
• ACT C, MINI ACT C, and MICRO ACT C: additional variants in the gearless family.

Production and facilities

CEG manufactures its motors and machines in-house at facilities spanning more than 3,500 square meters, equipped with production and testing technology. The site includes a test tower more than 25 meters tall, where designs can be tested in real-world conditions. The company also works with complementary businesses, research centers, engineering firms, and suppliers to develop new elevator-industry solutions.

Innovation and reach

CEG continues to develop its products, from its early electric motors to today’s synchronous permanent-magnet machines. Its business has grown in Spain and internationally. The company exhibits at industry events such as INTERLIFT, has invested in solar panels, and uses smart technology to verify motors.
