Grupo Chinchurreta is a steel tube manufacturer founded in 1963 by brothers José and Juan Chinchurreta. It began by making tubes for fluid conveyance and scaffolding and has since grown into an industrial group with two production plants and a broad international presence.

Products and capacity

The company offers a diversified product range, including:

With more than 60 years of experience, the group has 11 production lines and annual capacity exceeding 250,000 metric tons. It reports revenue of more than €200 million and serves over 250 customers.

Production plants

Grupo Chinchurreta operates two plants:

• Oñati plant: Torreauzo 11, 20560 Oñati, Gipuzkoa. Phone: +34 943 781 312. This original plant is strategically located near France and the Port of Bilbao, supporting international logistics.
• Aranda de Duero plant: Albillo 1, Prado Marina Industrial Park, 09400 Aranda de Duero, Burgos. Phone: +34 947 511 987. Opened in 2007, it led to the creation of Tubos Aranda and has advanced production lines.

History and growth

Since its founding, the company has gone through several stages of growth. In 1978, it moved to its current Oñati facilities and began making precision tubes. In 1984, it started exporting to France and Portugal; in 1985, it introduced Sendzimir-galvanized tubes for agriculture. In 1989, it added structural tubes. Tubos Aranda was established in 2007, consolidating Grupo Chinchurreta. In 2013, the company developed specialty tubes for solar trackers, and in 2015 it strengthened its presence in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and the United Kingdom. In 2017, the third generation of the family joined management. In 2024, it added a production line specializing in high-yield-strength, thin-wall tubes.

Quality and certifications

The company’s plants hold ISO 9001:2015 certification, as well as OHSAS 18001. It has specific certificates for precision and structural tubes and maintains quality controls throughout production.
