Alonarti Envases S.A.U. manufactures aluminum and laminated tubes. Its three main product lines are collapsible aluminum tubes, rigid aluminum tubes, and laminated tubes, as well as caps for its own tubes. Its customers are primarily in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food, and industrial markets.

Products and production capacity

• Flexible aluminum tubes: diameters from 11 mm to 40 mm, with capacities from 3 ml to 200 ml.
• Rigid aluminum tubes: diameters of 22 mm, 27 mm, and 27.7 mm.
• Laminated tubes: diameters of 25 mm, 30 mm, 35 mm, and 40 mm, with capacities from 30 ml to 200 ml.
• Caps for the tubes it manufactures.

The company reports two production plants with 11 manufacturing lines and annual capacity of more than 200 million tubes. It says it serves more than 200 customers in over 15 countries across three continents, with global exports and Incoterms agreed with each customer.

Quality and certifications

Alonarti holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 15378:2018 certifications. It uses raw materials that meet applicable regulations in its markets, including REACH, food-contact suitability, and cosmetics rules. Quality checks take place throughout production, with a final inspection under ISO 2859.

Company history

The company's roots date to 1906 in Vigo, Spain, where it began by manufacturing machinery for the canning industry. In 1921 it began making rubber gaskets and printing and coating tinplate for food cans; in 1928 it established a subsidiary in Portugal as a second production site. In 1953, both factories diversified into collapsible and rigid aluminum tubes for the Spanish and Portuguese markets. In 2007, the Vigo factory moved to its current site in O Porriño, and in 2015 the Portuguese subsidiary moved from Valença to a new plant in Monção. Laminated-tube production was added in 2018; in 2021, the company marked 100 years of operations.

Locations

Alonarti operates two production plants about 20 km apart, along with backup production facilities and central services. It describes itself as a leader in the Spanish and Portuguese markets and exports to many countries. Its Atlantic location supports container shipping.
