Adernats wines in the “Cathedral of Wine”

Vinícola de Nulles is a cooperative winery in Nulles, Tarragona, selling wines and cavas under the Adernats label. Its work dates to the construction of its Modernist winery in 1917. Known as the Cathedral of Wine of Nulles, the building was designed by Cèsar Martinell, a student of Gaudí. The cooperative produces wine, cava, and oil and sells its products online.

Winery experiences

Visits connect the building’s heritage with the vineyards. Options include:

• A vineyard walk with a tasting of five wines, passing 80-year-old vines and dry-stone walls in a landscape described as World Heritage.
• A gourmet tasting with cured meats and cheeses, including a vineyard visit with a glass of cava.
• A visit and tasting at the 1917 Cathedral of Wine, through its Modernist winery and century-old vats.

Awards

The wines and cavas have received Spanish and international recognition, including:

• Adernats XC: 90 Parker points and a Grand Gold at 50 Great Cavas.
• Adernats PUR: 91 points from Guía Peñín and 96 from Guía Catalana.
• Adernats Brut: a Grand Gold and a revelation award at the CMB competition.
• Xarel·lo Vermell: an organic wine with 95 Guía Catalana points.
• Seducció: Gilbert & Gaillard gold and 93 Guía Catalana points.
• Vinícola de Nulles: named best Catalan winery by the Gourmand guide and Cooproute.

The winery refreshed its cava labels and added organic certification in 2025.

Wine-shop hours

Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.; additionally Friday, 4–7 p.m. Saturday, Sunday, and holidays, 10 a.m.–2:30 p.m. The shop lists closures on December 25 and 26; January 1, 6, and 20; May 15; and June 24 and July 24.
