International relief and development

Oxfam Intermón is an international development nonprofit working to end poverty and inequality. It is part of the Oxfam confederation and works with local organizations in more than 80 countries.

Areas of work

Humanitarian response: immediate support during crises such as earthquakes, Ebola outbreaks, and armed conflicts. The organization has responded to emergencies in Venezuela, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan, and Chad, among other places.
Social and economic change: development projects and policy advocacy that address the structural causes of poverty.
Climate emergency: calls for climate policies that protect vulnerable communities and highlights the disproportionate impact on poorer countries.
Fundamental rights: advocacy for the rights of migrants, refugees, and people in vulnerable situations.
Fair trade: food, clothing, cosmetics, and home goods sold according to ethical and responsible-consumption principles.

Partnerships and coordination

Oxfam Intermón is part of the Spanish Emergency Committee, together with Action Against Hunger, SOS Children's Villages, Entreculturas, Doctors of the World, Plan International, and World Vision. The coalition coordinates rapid responses to disasters.

Transparency and accountability

The organization publishes an annual report for 2024–25 and explains how it uses the funds it receives. It also reports on its environmental impact and maintains a transparency policy for donors and supporters.
