About ACACI – Asociación Ciudadana de Afectados de Cistitis Intersticial / Síndrome de Dolor Vesical

About ACACI

ACACI is a nonprofit patient association for people with interstitial cystitis (IC) and bladder pain syndrome (BPS) across Spain. It was established in 2006, when a group of women affected by the condition organized to address the needs of people living with it.

What the association does

ACACI provides personal support and guidance to people with IC or BPS, helping them pursue a timely diagnosis and learn about suitable treatments. It also aims to reduce the need to consult multiple specialists and to make diagnostic evaluations and treatment easier to access. The association raises awareness of the condition’s physical and psychological challenges and its effects on people’s personal and working lives.

Activities and community

ACACI shares information through events and news, including Rare Disease Month and regional forums on rare and undiagnosed conditions. It is active on social media, where it shares information and updates with its members and the wider community.
