About Asociación IFAD - España
About IFAD-España
IFAD-España is a private civil association founded in 1994 and recognized as a charitable social-services organization. It began through the European “Youth for Europe” program in Montpellier, France, on the initiative of young people from several European Union countries. Although it initially operated nationally, its work became regional as its services concentrated in Castile-La Mancha.
What the association does
IFAD-España organizes social, cultural, athletic, and employment activities for disadvantaged groups. Its services are organized around four areas: information, training, community engagement, and development. The association maintains ongoing relationships with government agencies, schools, and organizations with similar goals.
Programs and training
IFAD-España runs training pathways and social and employment-integration projects, many funded by public agencies and European programs. Documented initiatives include:
- Job-training courses, such as Industrial Sewing Machine Operator and Home-Care Assistant.
- Travesía: personalized, integrated pathways to social and employment inclusion.
- Youth-In: pre-employment training for young people facing social exclusion.
- Prioridades: a Fundación ONCE-funded program for people with disabilities.
- Digital Skills for Growth: digital-skills training for people at risk of exclusion, supported by EAPN-CLM.
- Intercultural Coexistence: awareness activities, talks, and visits to local services.
- Training and retraining initiatives for the working population, supported by EU-Next funding.
Public partnerships
The association participates in local employment plans, including Villarrobledo City Council's Local Employment Plan for People with Disabilities. The previous edition served more than 40 people and had a budget of €145,000. IFAD-España has also partnered with Almuradiel City Council in Ciudad Real and visited services such as AFAEPS in Albacete.
