About FUHEM
Education and ecosocial work
FUHEM is an independent nonprofit foundation working in two main areas: education and ecosocial issues. Its activities combine running schools with research, debate, and publications on social trends, critical economics, and sustainability.
Education
The foundation operates four schools, with about 400 staff members and 4,600 students. It has spent decades educating children and young people and contributing to discussions about social needs and educational responses. FUHEM has its own Ecosocial Seal and runs a Summer School.
Ecosocial area
FUHEM describes this area as a place for reflection, discussion, and analysis of major current trends and changes from a critical, cross-disciplinary perspective. It publishes the journal Papeles, ecosocial reports, collections, and an Inclusive Economy series, and organizes programs such as the Recreo Ecosocial podcast.
