About the foundation

Caja Ingenieros Foundation is the social-impact arm of Grupo Caja Ingenieros. It supports projects with social impact and promotes sustainable development through three areas: the social and cooperative economy, financial health and literacy, and engineering applied to social development.

• Social and cooperative economy: supporting the development and innovation of this model as a driver of a fairer, more cooperative economy.
• Financial health and literacy: helping people work toward their goals and life plans.
• Engineering for social development: applying engineering to more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable social development.

How it works

The foundation works collaboratively and through networks with institutions and organizations in different sectors. Its approach includes generating practical knowledge through research and scientific evidence, building public capacity through training, workshops, and resources, and testing and piloting new solutions with potential to scale.

Programs and partnerships

Recent initiatives include supporting university talent and continuing a doctoral research scholarship with Enginyers Industrials de Catalunya. The foundation marked its 15th anniversary with a crowdfunding campaign supporting 15 social causes and offers ways to become a member or donate.

The foundation is active on Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, and YouTube, and publishes annual reports and its own publications.
