About Tapas Plaza
Tapas by the Beach in Nerja
Tapas Plaza sits along Paseo Burriana at Burriana Beach in Nerja. The restaurant opened in 2006 under the name Sabor de Amor and is run by Jeannette and Johan, a Dutch couple whose years in Thailand helped shape the Asian influences in Johan’s cooking.
A Table Made for Sharing
The menu centers on tapas meant to be shared around the table, with Spanish, Asian, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Thai and Indonesian flavors include the Indonesian “Rice Table” served tapas-style. The restaurant says its dishes are made from scratch and offers options for guests with food allergies or intolerances.
Dining In or Taking Tapas to Go
Guests can eat at the restaurant, reserve a table, or order takeaway in Nerja. The restaurant’s own website lists hours of Tuesday through Sunday, noon to 5 p.m., with Mondays closed.
Jeannette welcomes guests while Johan brings his experience with the wok to the kitchen, giving the beachfront restaurant a distinctly international approach to tapas.
