Injection Molds and Hot-Runner Systems

Orymo is the trade name of Orihuela y Moret S.L., a Spanish manufacturer based in Museros, Valencia. Founded in 1972, the company makes injection mold bases for plastics and hot-runner systems. It launched its first standard mold-base plant in 1986.

Products and Capabilities

• Standard mold bases for plastic injection molding.
• Custom machining, including cooling holes, finished and angled pockets, and ejector passages, based on Parasolid or STEP files.
• Hot-runner systems, including single nozzles, valve-gated manifolds, electrical components, monoblock systems, and rheological studies.
• Mold accessories with short lead times.

Orymo reports more than 15 years of experience in specialized machining. Its engineering department develops turnkey solutions and provides global technical support throughout a product’s service life.

Facilities and Equipment

Orihuela y Moret has 1,600 square meters for machinery, 400 square meters of office space, 650 square meters for finished material, 120 square meters for mold accessories, and 300 square meters for raw material. Its equipment includes:

• An OKUMA MA-60HB horizontal machining center and two palletized OKUMA centers with travels of 1,000 × 800 × 1,000 mm and speeds up to 12,000 rpm.
• Large-travel MTE milling machines, up to 2,500 × 1,000 × 1,000 mm.
• A five-axis continuous-motion Eumach bridge mill with travels of 3,200 × 2,200 × 1,100 mm.
• GER grinders and an EQUIPTOP bridge grinder.
• A DEA Mistral coordinate measuring machine.
• Danobat automatic saws and overhead cranes rated from 500 to 10,000 kg.

Markets and International Offices

Orymo serves automotive, household goods, medical, consumer goods, toys, and packaging, as well as specialized markets such as rail, aerospace, security and defense, nuclear, aviation, and industrial machinery. It began expanding internationally in 1995, entering Portugal, Mexico, Venezuela, and Belgium. It established a Portugal office in 1996, a Germany office in 2004, a Shanghai office in 2012, and a Mexico office in 2013.
