Comercio Industria y Distribución, S.L. (CID) is a Spanish company that sells roller chains and accessories, machines engineering plastics, and assembles modular belts and hinge chains. In 2025, the company marked its 75th anniversary, placing its roots in the mid-20th century.

Facilities

CID has a central warehouse and machining shop in Munera, Albacete. In 2023, it completed a solar installation at the warehouse, making it energy self-sufficient, and upgraded the shop with five-axis milling machines and lathes capable of handling parts with larger diameters and lengths.

Applications and projects

The company’s products have been used in industrial and high-profile projects, including slat-top chains for packaging transport at the Cidacos factory; abrasion-resistant modular belts at the Cuétara factory; specialty Wippermann chains for the LST-1 Cherenkov telescope on La Palma; 824 meters of Wippermann chain used to move platforms at Madrid’s Teatro Real; maintenance-free Marathon chains for Tesla’s Gigafactory in Texas; and machined Durogliss Natural parts for Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
