Forjas Vecina is a Spanish manufacturer based in Móstoles, Madrid, specializing in wear-resistant steel parts for public-works and mining machinery. Founded more than 50 years ago, the company says it was Spain's first manufacturer to specialize in these parts. It became a worker cooperative in 1980.

Products and Capabilities

The company cuts and machines custom parts from wear-resistant steel in thicknesses from 4 to 100 mm and hardness grades of 500, 550, and 600 Brinell. It works with steel from European manufacturers and keeps stock in several hardness grades. Its products include:

• Blades for wheel loaders, bulldozers, scrapers, motor graders, snowplows, backhoes, and street sweepers and cleaners
• Cutting edges and overlays for wheel loaders, bulldozers, scrapers, and motor graders
• Wear-resistant snowplow blades for road-maintenance centers
• Quarry parts, including dump-truck floor and side plates and components for crushing processes
• Cement-industry parts for crushers, mills, conveyor belts, bucket elevators, and air classifiers
• Linings for mills, concrete mixers, and crushers
• Mill hammers for mining and the lumber industry

Certifications and Quality

Forjas Vecina has held ISO 9001 quality certification since 2004. It verifies the authenticity of its 500 Brinell wear-resistant steel by providing the corresponding quality certificate. Its FV-500 wear-resistant plate is certified under European Community standards.

Forjas Vecina makes custom parts based on original part numbers or the dimensions required for a specific job. It also offers custom part design to meet each customer's needs.
