Maletas Queralt, S.A. is a family-run company based in Montblanc, Tarragona, that manufactures and distributes travel goods. It has been in the industry since 1939, when Luis Queralt Poblet began making watch straps, school satchels, and backpacks, followed by cardboard suitcases. In 2015, the family’s third generation took over the company’s management.

Products and Brands

The company sells products under three proprietary brands:

• Gladiator: Established in 1980, this longstanding brand centers on quality, utility, and a distinctive level of finish.
• Vogart: Launched in 2010, it focuses on high-quality, functional products for everyday use. It has had its own online store since 2021.
• John Travel: Created in 1988, this brand focuses on practical, accessible travel goods.

The range includes suitcases, travel bags, and backpacks. The company’s manufacturing history also includes trunks, hard-sided luggage, and suitcases with wheels and a telescoping handle, introduced in 1996.

Facilities and Capacity

Maletas Queralt has approximately 8,500 square meters of facilities in Montblanc, including a 2,000-square-meter warehouse opened in 2011. The warehouses underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2024 to update the facilities and improve safety.

Certifications and Recognition

• Received ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2008.
• Received the Internationalization Award from the Reus Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Navigation in 2014.
• Cepta recognized the company as Spain’s oldest business developing and manufacturing luggage.
• The Chamber of Commerce recognized it as a notable company in its district in 2001.

International Presence

The company has taken part in international trade shows, including the ILM International Leather Goods Fair in Offenbach, Germany.
