About SAECO

SAECO was founded in Molina de Segura, Murcia, in 1979 and manufactures corrugated-cardboard containers and packaging. Its production serves food and industrial businesses throughout Spain.

Production Capacity and Facilities

• More than 42,000 square meters of facilities, including a factory that opened in late 2008
• State-of-the-art machinery with capacity to produce 130 million square meters per year
• Annual production exceeding 100 million square meters
• More than 70,000 metric tons of recycled paper and fiber used
• A workforce of more than 110 employees

The company also provides design and logistics services and develops R&D projects, including the European “Smart Packaging” project and NewFresh innovation for the produce sector.

Sustainability and Quality

The cardboard SAECO manufactures is 100% recyclable and biodegradable and meets health regulations for food contact. The company has installed photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 1,000.42 kWp in a project co-funded by the European Union and the Regional Ministry of Business, Industry and Spokesperson’s Office, Directorate General for Energy and Industrial Activity and Mining. SAECO also says it has an audited and certified quality plan.
