The company began operating in 1989 through the merger of two businesses, Frigoríficos Fandiño and Frigomos. The merger brought together access to raw materials and processing experience, helping Fandicosta establish itself in the industry. Since 2024, it has been part of Worldwide Fishing Company (WOFCO).
