Insulated Panels and Building Systems

Metecno España is the Spanish subsidiary of an international group that manufactures and sells insulated sandwich panels and building systems for roofs, facades, interior cladding, and cold rooms. The company serves industrial, commercial, residential, and agricultural markets and exports to more than 50 countries. Its production plant in Miranda de Ebro, Burgos, manufactures and distributes approximately 2.6 million square meters of sandwich panels a year.

Products and Applications

Metecno offers sandwich panels with polyurethane (PUR) or polyisocyanurate (PIR) cores for thermal and acoustic insulation. Its products cover four main applications:

• Roofs: panels for homes, industrial buildings, and commercial facilities, designed for quick installation and lower construction costs.
• Facades: panels designed for efficient installation and thermal and acoustic insulation.
• Interior cladding: for suspended ceilings and cladding in farms, industrial buildings, and spaces exposed to aggressive conditions.
• Cold rooms: panels for maintaining controlled temperatures when handling refrigerated products.

The company also sells complementary polycarbonate products, including Glamet Smart, Metcover, and Multipanel. Its accessories include flashing trim from 2,000 to 18,000 millimeters long and fasteners that complete the building system.

Production and Certifications

The Miranda de Ebro plant has two continuous production lines, each up to 210 meters long. PIR-foam panels carry a B-s1,d0 classification under UNE EN 13501-1. Metecno belongs to the Spanish Association of Sandwich Panel Manufacturers and says it holds national and international certifications.

International Operations

The Metecno Group operates in Germany, Spain, Bulgaria, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, India, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam. Over its history, the group says it has produced and sold more than one billion square meters of insulated metal panels. The company reports more than 30 years of industry experience.
