European Transport, S.L. is a family-owned company based in Mérida, Badajoz, providing domestic and international road freight. It began operating in 1986 and reports more than 35 years of industry experience. Its facilities cover more than 30,000 square meters and include offices, workshops, parking, a vehicle wash, and a fuel station.

Transportation Services

• Bulk dry-goods tankers: Transportation of dry, granular, and powdered goods in tankers with capacity up to 63 cubic meters. The vehicles are made of specialized aluminum and pressure-tested to 3 bar. Equipment includes high-volume unloading compressors (1,100 m³), hydraulic lifting, unloading coolers, a stainless-steel slotted fluidizing disc, an air battery with a 5-micron filter, WABCO equipment with SmartBoard, and an air vibrator. They meet ECTA specifications and are equipped with ABS/EBS rollover-stability control (RSS) and a certified fall-protection lifeline.
• Tautliner trailers: Through its group company Transportes de Mercancías J. Sánchez Morales, S.L., European Transport offers full and partial loads within Spain and internationally. The trailers handle general freight, special transport of coils on a 7.5-meter cradle with coil supports and chassis-mounted saddles, and long goods up to 16.5 meters with the required special permits.

Certifications and Quality

The company has held ISO 14001:2015 environmental-management certification for domestic and international freight since 2017. It has also held ISO 9001 certification since 2002, first under the 2008 version and later renewed to ISO 9001:2015. As a logistics provider to the chemical industry, it received a very satisfactory SQAS (Safety & Quality Assessment for Sustainability) evaluation in April 2017, administered by CEFIC. It is working toward GMP+ certification for feed products it transports.

Safety and the Environment

Its vehicles include safety technology such as an ABS lifeline, RSS rollover prevention, EBS/ABS stability control, forward-collision alerts and emergency braking, lane monitoring and departure warnings, and personal protective equipment. The company provides ongoing driver training in safe driving, Behavior-Based Safety (BBS), workplace safety, fuel-efficient driving, and internal transportation rules. It regularly renews its fleet to meet European environmental standards.

Maintenance

European Transport has its own workshop and computerized spare-parts warehouse, with preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance plans. It also operates an in-house truck and trailer wash.
