What the association is

Asociación Empresarial Impulso connects businesses and entrepreneurs in Mérida and across Extremadura. Its stated purpose is shared growth, collaboration and practical relationships between members, with networking and training at the center of its work.

Premios Impulso 2026

The association's main event is the Premios Impulso. Its fourth edition is scheduled for Friday 24 April 2026 at 9 p.m. at Hotel AZZ Mérida Medea, Avenida de Portugal, Mérida, with a reception, dinner and awards hosted by RTVE Extremadura journalist Isabel González Cortés. The organiser says it will reduce plastic, use a locally sourced menu and offset the event's carbon footprint.

The four categories are Company, Achievement, Local Business and Solidarity. The association has announced the following 2026 recipients:

• Company: AMEXSOL, a Mérida industrial design, installation and maintenance company. The association reports more than 120 employees and annual turnover of €7 million.
• Achievement: Susana Librada of Club de Natación de Mérida, recognized for returning to Masters competition at 52 after severe trauma, with national butterfly medals and two Spanish records.
• Local Business: Librería Cascón Chito on Mérida's Rambla de Santa Eulalia, founded in 1925 and combining personal service with e-commerce and digital marketing.
• Solidarity: AFAM, the Mérida association for families of people with Alzheimer's, founded in 1998 and providing cognitive stimulation, physiotherapy and support for carers.

• 2022: Lavadero de Lanas, Mérida; awards to Grupo Vitaly, Mérida Disports and Cristina Cabaña.
• 2024: Bodega Viña Santa Marina; awards to DEUTZ Spain, ADMO and Pablo Cardona.
• 2025: Hotel AZZ Mérida Medea; awards to Isantramex S.L., Candelaria Carrera, Hijos de Feliciano Becerra and EmeriTEA.

Internal awards

Members also vote on the association's Socio #premium, Socio #compromiso and Espíritu #impulso distinctions, whose recipients are announced at the gala dinner.
