Fundació Maresme

Support throughout life

Fundació Maresme is a social services organization based in Mataró that works to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and complex needs in the Maresme region, as well as their families. With more than 60 years of history, it operates a network of services and centers providing ongoing support across the life span.

Services and programs

• Intake, assessment, and guidance: Initial assessment visit.
• Children’s services: CDIAP del Maresme and Escola l’Arboç.
• Day services: Occupational centers and community support for active aging.
• Employment services: Training and job placement, CEO del Maresme, and the Specific Training Program (IFE).
• Residential care: Group homes and SASVI, including Llar Residència Santa Maria.

Centers across the region

Its centers and services are located throughout the Maresme region. They include CDIAP locations in Arenys de Mar, El Masnou, and Mataró; CEO del Maresme; Escola d’Educació Especial l’Arboç; and group homes on Carrer Vitòria, La Ronda, and Les Sureres, among others.

Recognition and community events

In 2025, the Government of Catalonia awarded Fundació Maresme the Placa al Treball President Macià. The foundation also leads awareness campaigns, including “Error 404. Centre ocupacional no trobat,” and organizes community events such as Les Dissantes and La Seixantada. The foundation also participates in the Treball i Formació ESAL Program.
