Fundació Iluro is a private foundation in Mataró, Barcelona, whose work spans culture, knowledge, social programs, and sports.

Three city spaces

  • Ateneu Centre Cultural: a venue for exhibitions, performing arts, and cultural activities.
  • Casa Coll i Regàs: a modernist building by architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch that the foundation maintains and opens to the public.
  • Espai Laru: a sports space in a natural setting.

Exhibitions, performing arts, and modernism

The cultural program includes exhibitions, performing arts, and activities related to Mataró’s modernist heritage. Recurring initiatives include the performing-arts series Escena i Pensament and guided tours.

History and visual-art awards

The foundation awards the Premi Iluro for work in history, humanities, and social sciences. The prize includes €6,000 and publication of the winning work; the 68th call opened in 2026. It also organizes the Torres García-Ciutat de Mataró Painting Prize, whose 11th edition was decided in 2026.

Social programs and sports

Social initiatives include Art i cura, PAD social, Fes salut a la LARU, and Insertball, programs intended to improve people’s quality of life. The foundation also promotes sports through Espai Laru and other projects.
