Foment Mataroní is a nonprofit cultural organization in Mataró’s historic center. Founded in 1904, it runs a cultural center that pairs a regular performing-arts calendar with its own classes.

Film, theater, music, and more

  • Film: 2D screenings and film discussions featuring subtitled films in their original language
  • Theater and zarzuela: performances, sometimes with guest companies and orchestras

Classes and courses

Courses cover cooking, dance, languages, theater, job training for unemployed people, and food-handler certification. The course calendar is organized by activity.

Two spaces for performances and events

The center has two rentable spaces: Teatre-Cinema and Espai F. Members receive discounts on room rentals and the organization’s cultural events.

Membership

Anyone can join. Annual dues are €22 and include discounts on space rentals, concerts, and cultural events; the opportunity to submit suggestions and contribute to the digital newsletter; and delivery of the newsletter and course calendar.
