Support for people with intellectual disabilities

Fundació Arc de Sant Martí is a social-services organization based in Martorell, Barcelona province. It supports people with intellectual disabilities and their families through residential care, daytime services, occupational therapy, recreation, and family support. Additional services include physical therapy, equine therapy, a pool, meals, and adapted transportation.

Main services

• Housing and residential care: group homes, residential care, supported apartments, support in one's own home, and short breaks in apartments.
• Daytime services: Occupational Therapy Service (STO), Specialized Care Center (CAE), and employment integration.
• Transportation: adapted vans for people receiving disability services.
• Recreation and leisure: activities, outings, vacation groups, tourism, sports, and after-school programs.
• Individual support: afternoon respite at the day center, hourly in-home respite, family-support programs, and help meeting individual needs.
• Additional services: swimming, physical therapy—including therapy for school-age children—equine therapy, meals, vocational training, pétanque, shared spaces, talks, outings, and workshops for families.

Current projects

The foundation has developed the Complex d'Habitatges Arc de Sant Martí housing complex and is planning a second residential phase as well as a strategic expansion plan. It also runs a leisure association and self-managed activities for families.
