SERRA is an engineering and manufacturing company based in Martorell, Barcelona, specializing in machinery, automation, and material-handling solutions for the corrugated-board industry. Products and Solutions

The company organizes its offering into several product lines:

• Digital printing: Peripheral equipment such as pre-feeders, feeders, quality-control systems, coating applicators (OPV coaters), NIR dryers, and stackers, including full-stack, high-line, robot, and bundle stackers.

SERRA also markets proprietary solutions such as BotFlow for intelligent in-plant material-flow automation; SERRAPID for faster die changes; SERRARM for automated die handling; and SERRAVISION, AI-based technology for safer industrial environments.

Company History

The family business traces its history to 1940, when the first generation began repairing industrial machinery and providing technical service. In 1980, the family’s experience expanded into engineering and specialized solutions for corrugated board, and Talleres Serra was incorporated in 1981. The company has received several industry awards, including FEFCO innovation awards in 2000 and 2013, and FEFCO recognition in 2021 for its AI-based safety approach. It expanded its Barcelona facilities in 2020.

International Presence

SERRA serves corrugated-board manufacturers in more than 50 countries, with projects and installations in Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. It provides long-term technical support and works with manufacturers and technology partners across the industry.
