About UManresa
University study in Manresa
UManresa is the Manresa campus of Universitat de Vic–Universitat Central de Catalunya (UVic-UCC), managed by Fundació Universitària del Bages (FUB). Its programs focus on health, education, and business, including accredited bachelor's degrees, master's and graduate programs, and continuing education for professionals.
Academic programs
The university offers official degrees in health sciences, education, and business. Higher vocational programs include dental prosthetics, early-childhood education, international trade, and business administration and finance, with transportation and logistics listed as forthcoming. New academic offerings include a bachelor's degree in law and a degree in management of the digital society.
Hands-on and dual education
UManresa uses an active, practical teaching approach, with dual education in real-world settings from the first year, including the university clinic and Lab 0_6. Its business administration degree includes Programa Prèmium, combining academic study with paid professional experience at leading companies. Simulation is used across the curriculum, particularly in health programs through CISARC, a pioneering clinical simulation center.
Research and academic chairs
The Chair in Simulation and Patient Safety, led by the campus, studies how simulation can improve education and patient safety. It recently renewed its co-directorship with the appointment of Dr. Elena Medarde Barragán and Dr. Aida Camps Gómez. A teaching-innovation project led by professor Olga Borao, using an AI virtual patient for physical therapy, was selected for the 2026 PIRE Program.
Campus services and international study
The campus has a library, laboratories, simulators, study spaces, a café, and health services. It offers student housing options and participates in mobility programs such as Erasmus+, with agreements at universities around the world. Its language school offers English, French, German, and other courses, including preparation for official exams.
