Learning for adults, students, and organizations

Aurea7 Formació is a training cooperative based in Manresa, Barcelona. A group of young teachers founded it in the summer of 2012. It focuses on adult education and extracurricular programs for young people and children, offering both in-person classes and distance learning through a virtual campus.

Courses and subjects

• College, vocational, and secondary-school equivalency exams: preparation for university entrance exams, intermediate and advanced vocational program entrance exams, and exams for adults over 25 and 45. Classes are available in person or online.
• School and college tutoring: support and enrichment for elementary school, middle school, high school, and college subjects, with individualized guidance and small groups.
• Languages: Catalan (C1 and C2), Spanish, English, and French.
• Computer skills.
• Personal aptitude tests.

Training for companies and organizations

The cooperative also develops and teaches courses for employees and companies. Classes can take place at the center, at a company's location, or online through its virtual campus. Topics include languages, college and vocational entrance exams, high school equivalency, and computer skills, along with courses tailored to a company's needs.

For nonprofits, local governments, and public agencies, Aurea7 offers preparation for intermediate, advanced, and university entrance exams; high school equivalency exams; job training and placement programs; academic support; languages and literacy, mainly in Catalan; computer skills; and social skills.

Instructors

Aurea7's instructors hold undergraduate or graduate degrees in their subject areas, such as math, physics, Catalan or Spanish language and literature, and biology. Some are seniors in university degree programs with tutoring experience. The cooperative says it uses a balanced pay structure for member and associate instructors.
