Ueda Europa S.A. is a Spanish distributor of technology and equipment for dental clinics and radiology centers. Its focus is dental imaging, including intraoral and extraoral radiology, CBCT and panoramic systems with or without cephalometric imaging, dental scanners, periodontal probes, and dental units.

Company History

Luis López de Uralde Viruet and his two brothers founded the company in 1978. In the 1980s, it decided to specialize in the dental market. In 1985, Ueda began distributing and supporting the first panoramic dental X-ray units made by Finland’s Soredex. In 1990, it introduced Spain’s first digital dental X-ray unit and worked with Soredex to develop Digora, the first wireless digital intraoral X-ray system using a phosphor plate. A second generation of the family continues to lead the business.

Ueda distributes equipment from several major brands, including:

• Genoray: Papaya 3D+, Papaya 3D Premium+, and Papaya+
• XO: XO Flow Standard and XO Flow Advanced dental units, XO Odontosurge, and XO Odontogain
• DEXIS: Scan eXam One, DC-Air/Athlos, and DC-Air
• Alliedstar: AS 260
• RapidShape: ONE, Pro20, and Pro30 3D printers, plus resins
• Florida Probe: Florida Probe and Voice Works

The company also offers used equipment, including a POINTNIX Point 800S HD panoramic unit manufactured in 2016 and a GENORAY Papaya 3D+ CBCT unit manufactured in 2017. Ueda introduced Emdogain, made by Swedish company Biora, in Spain and Portugal. It contains enamel matrix proteins that stimulate periodontal regeneration.

Services

Along with equipment sales, Ueda provides authorized technical service, preventive maintenance, training, and financing. Customers can also access online demonstrations and technical support.
