Serconsur (Servicios Técnicos de Consultoría del Sur) is an IT consulting firm based in Málaga, specializing in custom business software. Founded in 1996, it has focused on building custom applications and computer systems, as well as providing technical support and consulting.

Main services

• Custom software: desktop applications, web applications, and Android apps.
• Ongoing support: maintenance and development of implemented systems, functioning as an outsourced technical department.
• Special projects: additional development capacity for businesses with their own IT department, including training so the client can later take over the software.
• Linux development: high-performance services written in C++ for the Linux operating system.
• Technical consulting: guidance on IT decisions and information management.
• Resource leasing: access to Serconsur’s own servers, with an option for the company to manage them.

How the firm works

Serconsur describes its model as an outsourced development department: clients pay based on workload, with higher costs during busy periods and lower costs during maintenance phases. The company asks clients to contribute their business knowledge while Serconsur handles the technical work. It does not sell off-the-shelf products; instead, it evaluates each situation and recommends a suitable solution.

Technology

• Desktop applications: Java/Swing, connected to databases or web services.
• Web applications: JSF with PrimeFaces, and Angular with Spring Boot.
• Android smartphone apps integrated with web services.
• Linux development, including high-performance C++ services.
